To Old friends and New

Two days. Of great fun.

Thanks to a Bengali, from Delhi, married to a Punjabi...presently in Goa, to do up the Customs' Museum.

An interesting guy, used to have an Italian girlfriend(who he's still in touch with- thirteen years later), while he was a student in the UK-that his wife knows of.

Yesterday, he was brave enough to try/share toddy with me bought from the roadside vendors on our way back from the airport. Dinner at Terry's, Dona Paula jetty, Dark Passion at CCD, jibes from me on being unadventurous got us to Ths Cross at Dona Paula, the park at the swimming pool and finally Delhi Belly.

Today, we went crazy over chocolate at Carasid(he's got Type 2 diabetes), lunch at an old friends' place in Taleigao - a common friend, who introduced me to him, Ras Omelette close to the church square and a Rs. 10/- haircut for him.

Tomorrow it's back to work and normalcy.

Schools' Out

Last saturday was the last working day...almost a week now and all I do is sleep, read.

Sloth- I could get used to this. :)

Movies watched- Kings' Speech, Rio

New Restaurant tried out : Cafe Mangii - pepperoni pizza, lobster bisque, creme brulee

Theobroma Cacao - Chocolate Brownies,

Creamaux - Chicken panini, sausage roll, mushroom quiche

Caramel - Coconut ice cream (is it a wonder I'm getting BIG?)

Goin'...Goan...

Rajendra Talak's "O Maria" is beautiful.

Simple story, no frills or cheap thrills.

Depicting Goa as it used to be...and maybe, just maybe...still is. The beauty, the way of life, the people.

Any woman would fall in love with Cody Goldberg's character. A man- loyal, steadfast, weak, strong...a decent guy.

I would recommend this movie to every Goan.

T-shirt slogans

While I wouldn't ever wear a T-shirt with a slogan in public, I love reading stuff written on T's.

While I enjoy writing, I also like my privacy.

I realise I reveal a lot about myself when I blog - my thoughts, the things I do, my friends, things that matter to me...and THAT I'm not very comfortable with.

Attended a kitchen garden workshop at The International Centre, Dona Paula.

High and Low (met Victoria there after bumping into her just a few days ago at Magsons).

Dined at Coros: Red and white prawns, chicken with almonds and asparagus, creamy chicken soup- YUM.

The Grape Escapade is no longer as good as it used to be...did meet/see quite a few familiar faces.

Little Miracles

I asked for a sign. Saw a shooting star.
Luck.

And the forgotten umbrella on the back seat of the car.
Hope.

The knowledge that no matter what happens there will be "someone" to help me through it all.
Faith.

Been There, Done that...finally!

...at D'Silvas', in Miramar.
A place that I've passed by so many times, but had never been to(unbelievable, but true).

Yummy cutlet bread, cafreal and milk.:d

Went to the DP jetty, the cross....got my hands on the Canon IXUS and went zooming on a bike after ages. Fun.

A very different day from yesterday...when I went on a long drive and coffee at the Marriott lounge.
